PARADE HOME
Details. Details. Details. Of course, all the rugs are hand knotted. Each and every pillow absolutely had to be down filled. When you’re trying to stick to a European Villa Tradition with a family palette of stories and travels and pictures, you just have to pay intimate attention to the details right on down to the books on the coffee table.
In this incredible family home, we were mixing and matching the old with the new and the interesting with the intriguing. There were anecdotes from the art collections to the serving ware settings and we wanted them all to be given their due diligence. That meant silver platters mounted to the walls, custom draperies, custom made sofas and sectionals and a crocodile leather chair in the home office.
Each room had a unique form and function while sharing the same roof. This family had to be able to come and go, entertain at a moment’s notice while providing a haven for reading in the day and a children’s sleepover at night. Most importantly, it had to be home, up to and including the perfect family picture in the perfect frame on the perfect spot on the wall.

Would you be so kind as to share the wall colors used in this space? I am absolutely in love with ALL the colors in this house, but especially the one in the breakfast(?) area…thank you!
Alice Lane actually did not do any of the interior finishes. JSA specified all of the paint.
